Tennis Strategy & Match Play
Tennis strategy and match play coaching is where I help you stop "just hitting balls" and start truly playing the game. I focus on the decisions you make between the lines-where you aim, when you change direction, how you build points, and how you respond when the score gets tight.
In these sessions, I design live point play around specific themes: holding serve, breaking serve, attacking short balls, defending from deep, or finishing at the net. I pause rallies, ask what you were trying to do, then show you higher-percentage options based on your strengths instead of some generic textbook pattern.
You will learn point construction: how to use depth, height, spin, and angles to move opponents, draw weaker replies, and create simple finishes. We work on shot selection, so you know when to go big and when to play safer, and how to recognize the "green light" ball you should attack.
I also coach you on opponent analysis. Are you playing a counterpuncher, a big hitter, a slicer, or an all-out attacker? I teach you how to spot their patterns quickly and build simple game plans you can actually remember on court.
A big piece of this work is decision-making under pressure. I simulate tiebreakers, deuce points, and must-hold service games, then coach your routines, breathing, and self-talk so you can trust your patterns instead of panicking.
If you already hit the ball pretty well but your results feel random, strategy and match play coaching connects the dots. You will walk onto the court with a plan, adjust it when needed, and walk off knowing exactly why you won or lost-and what to do next time.
