Tennis Videos that make YOU! BETTER!
Recommended Online Tennis Resources
I know it’s not common for tennis professionals to recommend outside online resources to their students. I actually think it can be a tremendous advantage.
Making a technical change, and giving you something to work on between lessons is to me a huge positive.
These resources do not replace coaching — they reinforce it.
🎾 First Recommendation: Essential Tennis Ian Westermann
I highly recommend Essential Tennis and regularly point my students toward their videos.
What I particularly like about Essential Tennis is that their approach is very similar to my own. They focus on simple explanations, video analysis, practical corrections, and—most importantly—explaining why a change will help your game.
There is no need for hype or complicated tennis terminology. The goal is to help you understand what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how to make the change.
That fits very closely with how I coach.
I especially like using their videos as a supplement to our lessons because you can see the concept again after you leave the court. Sometimes seeing and hearing something a second or third time is exactly what helps a new technique click.
My recommendation: Explore Essential Tennis and look for videos that relate to what we're currently working on in your lessons. If you find one that you like, send it to me—we can talk about it together and determine how it applies to your game.
The goal isn't to watch more tennis videos. The goal is to watch high quality excellent coaching videos.
The goal is to learn faster.goal is simple: help you improve faster and make your learning process more efficient.
When I find videos or other resources that reinforce what we are working on during lessons, I’m happy to share them with you. I often text my players links to things we just discussed in lessons.
